My VERY CLOSE encounter with "Gloria" the humpback whale
Sea dog go wants tummy rubs, come on human!
poor Seal... nobody wants to see the beautiful seal
Well I would have done if I didn't have a ginormous humpback whale right in front of me!
@@dearskate just kidding. May I ask if you recall that the humpback whale made any sounds? I wonder if she tried to scan you with her sonar.
@@dmwm771 I didn't notice any sounds other than the very wet snorts!
@@dearskate Thank you! What a great expierience and thanks also for sharing the video!
They are asking for help to remove barnacles, he rolls on his back showing so you can see the barnacles

Let us hope the new bridge holds the next storm 2022.
I'm just wanting to climb through the computer and be there in person, they are so beautiful.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Did any one else see the rainbow.?
Incredible
What an Incredible opportunity to experience such a magnificent creature
It was. I will never forget it!
I get the feeling that the whale is spouting mist more to get a reaction from the humans than anything else. What a neat encounter!
She is stunning I hope they don't hurt her those damn barnacles
I wish I could get some of those damn barnacles off they look annoying
I'm so happy to see the whales approaching these little boats with trust and curiosity. I hope we will always be worthy of this trust.💕🐳💕
SAD
Wow amazing animals
You can be so lucky and gifted, to have whitnessed something like this, simply overwhelming!
the red color attracts her ,whales love this color ,( jackets)
Nice video
There is no way to remove the barnacles
What an amazing beautiful gentle whale, what an amazing experience to have such close contact with her
THANKYOU so much for sharing your experience it does your heart good to see beautiful human beings appreciate wild gentle creatures
Living submarines! I wish to have an experience like this too!
I hate that these whales were hunted so badly.
For the many of you who accuse us of being stupid for not removing the barnacles, we were expressly asked not to touch her, so that she won't get used to human interaction. I don't think you could pull them off anyway without damaging her skin. All humpbacks seem to have many barnacles attached to them. You can't remove them all!
I think your getting grief from folk who take barnacles off of turtles and figure you can do the same to a whale I think sometime whale will scape against rocks and something time boats to get some off I'm sure if "Gloria " had want to to rid her self of some of them she would have bumped your she was getting so close I thought she might.
She's extremely intelligent..
Ufo?
Your so fortunate! What an incredible experience
She went upside down for you to remove those nasty barnacles.
I bet she understands "beautiful;" and "amazing" - even my baby nieces understand
The whale is obviously asking for help to pull off the barnacles... STUPID HUMANS
Whales ask for help in removing barnacles from their underside. They roll over to show us.
Think everybody there took enough pics??
people don`t know how to speak any longer one of the ladies state she can`t believe it wen she is see in it with her own eyes, I would I believe it because I see it. o you of little faith.
I couldn't believe how fortunate we were that she had come right up to our boat. That was the unbelievable part!
She seems very curious about the boat to me. I don't see her rubbing against it. Beautiful video.
She's trying to get rid of the barnacles.
This was one of the best videotaping‘s I’ve seen of humpback whales, or any whales!!! I loved all the women’s voices! Plus the one man’s voice also! Everybody seems so joyous and happy and ecstatic to view this whale, this humpback!!! Love the gleeful talking & ooing & ahing & things that were said! Beautiful voices and beautiful people, watching a beautiful whale!!! Loved all the matching suits/snowsuits?! You all must’ve been on a paid outing/whale watching… And where were you all? Somewhere way north, or could it be even south/Antarctica?!
Thank you for this lovely reaction! It was one of the best experiences of my life. We were on an Antarctic wildlife cruise and we were as ecstatic as we sounded!
Lovely, dear skate! Sounds like you adored your trip! I would’ve also if I had been there! Take care and God bless you…
Some videos you just have to turn the sound off.
all i can think is, i want to jump in and start ripping off barnacles.
It's absolutely amazing how something so big can be so gentle and graceful. I feel like seeing this first hand would almost feel like a spiritual experience.
It did. We were all highly emotional after the encounter.
I love humpback whales. They’re such social animals, and an amazing bond with their babies. Beautiful animals. I have to go whale watching 💜💙😊
meanies the whale wasnt curious it was asking for you to scrub off all the barnacles... T-T
The whale: “Hey, get outta my bathtub.” People: “OoHh, look at that” The whale: “Here, I’ll spit on them and see if that works” People: “Ooooo, it blew water on us” The whale: “Well crap, that didn’t work” The whale: “Will you at least take these stinking barnacles off my nose?”
Can't get any closer to heaven than that
What an amazing encounter - very fortunate.
Adolescent humpback whale: MOM!! CAN WE GO HUMAN WATCHING!?! Mother humpback: *SIGH* All right sweetheart, but only for a little bit.
Whales are very intelligent, they love any chance for someone or something to get those itchy barnacles off. Being the most amazong gentle giant in the ocean has its disadvantages. Id hate to be so itchy all the time! The doggies of the sea, sweet sweet creatures
Wonderful how these huge whales don’t accidentally knock into the boat. I can imagine the whale is enjoying the people.
Those barnacles must be a real pain to live with.
What an amazing experience! a powerful and majestic beauty ❤️
Yes, it was completely unforgettable.
I would be pooping my pants instead of taking photos
I absolutely love Whales! I have wanted to touch one for as long as I can remember. Would you mind sharing your thoughts and feelings on your own experience dearskate?
And what about the damage one might cause with a "brush." Best to get advise from knowledgeable person first.
I was in the company of one of the world's most knowledgeable experts at the time, on a whale watching boat.
